Senior Connections extends best wishes to all for a successful, happy and fulfilling year in 2017, which is well underway with numerous opportunities and challenges. We appreciate the tremendous support we receive from program participants, community partners, funders, contributors and supporters. As we embrace 2017, we reflect on our rich history and plans for the future. We touch the lives of more than 25,000 individuals each year in important ways and provide critical services to approximately 3,600 seniors annually. As in the past, we have received another “clean audit” without findings or recommendations for period of October 2015 to September 2016. We have talented and devoted staff who eagerly serve and support the needs of community seniors and caregivers. We are extremely pleased to have numerous successful collaborations with community partners. During 2017, we will give considerable attention to identifying transportation resources in our new role as the designated Coordinating Entity for Human Services Transportation. Among activities for 2017, we plan to host several Transportation Forums in conjunction with public meetings on the Four Year Plan for Aging Services.
This year’s theme for 2017 Older Americans Month is “Age Out Loud.” Thank you for joining us as we celebrate aging and older adults.
