Assistant Curator Tina Rivers Ryan of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery discusses four (4) paintings that played an important role in Western culture. While these paintings might not be the most influential or most important paintings In Western culture, they helped us understand the different ways this medium can be used as a meaningful form of communication. These paintings come from different time periods, genres, and nations, and outline the different ways that painting has played an important role in Western culture.

Ms. Ryan will participate in a LIVE Q&A immediately following the pre-recorded lecture. A recording will be available to view after the live event concludes but you MUST register to receive the link.
