Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. The agency has been dedicated to helping seniors maintain independence and quality of life since 1973. We provide programs and services for older adults with diverse needs and place special emphasis on those who may be isolated and physically or economically at risk.
Senior Connections depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations and organizations for support of our efforts to enhance the quality of life for older adults, and support caregivers. Donations to Senior Connections are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Tributes and Memorials
There is no better way to honor friends and relatives than by making a memorial contribution remembering them, or as a tribute to a friend or loved one for a significant accomplishment or anniversary. We will notify them of the gift and will also include their name on our Tribute section of our website. As well we will make weekly postings on Facebook of new honorees or memorials. For more information please contact Angie Phelon at (804) 343-3045.
Gifts of Securities
Appreciated securities are an especially creative way to give. By donating stock that has grown in value you help yourself two ways. First you avoid paying taxes on that asset’s growth, and then secondly you can deduct the full value of the stock if you itemize. Avoid tax and gain a deduction – win-win! Call us for more information but ALWAYS speak with your own financial advisers as well regarding your own situation. For more information please contact Angie Phelon at (804) 343-3045.
Your Own Personal Legacy
Remembering Senior Connections in your estate planning is a wonderful way to ensure that your care and concern for older adults lives on. You can leave a gift to make sure we always have the resources to continue all of our programs, or you can specify a program with special meaning to you. And as a continuing way of showing our gratitude to you we will include your name and favorite program on our remembrance page. We will also be pleased to post a remembrance of you on our Facebook page. For more information please contact Angie Phelon at (804) 343-3045.
