Computer Classes for Older Adults
Computer classes, provided by Senior Connections, are held in the First Floor Resource Center at
Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging
24 E. Cary Street, Richmond.

The class is called COMPUTER BASICS For SENIORS. It is designed for Individuals with little or no computer experience. The classes are held on Mondays from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon and is a three week session.
WEEK 1: Introduction to the computer and its components. How to use the mouse and keyboard practices and tutorials.
WEEK 2: Introduces users to the desktop and how to search the internet looking at websites such as Medicare.gov., Social Security.gov., and Seniorconnections-va.org. You are also given the opportunity to search websites of your own interest.
WEEK 3: Participants will learn how to create an email account using google and how to send and receive email messages.
