Senior Connections' Volunteer Program

Meals Packing for Seniors: In this fun activity, volunteers meet once weekly at the Feed More warehouse to pack food for seniors from 8:30-11:30. This opportunity is available through December.  A volunteer application does not have to be completed for this opportunity.  Contact Shana Beverly at 804.343.3024 for details, and to sign up.

There are a variety of service opportunities in our office and with our agency-run programs. From helping with office administration to working directly with seniors, we can find a role to fit your skills and interests. Senior Connections volunteers must be 18 years or older.  Please complete the attached form and return to Senior Connections’ Volunteer Program, 24 E Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23219

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

One of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over, RSVP partners with area organizations to help meet their volunteer needs. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones, while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.

Foster Grandparents

Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors, and friends to children who need additional support. The program provides a way for volunteers age 55 and over to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities. Foster Grandparent volunteers must meet income requirements and commit to serve at least 20 hours a week. Program participants receive a modest stipend.
